The Advisory Council is the body that coordinates the activities of study and research of foreign policy in Latin America and it is formed by a group of experts in the field of International Relations and Foreign Policy in the region. It monitors the operation of the Work Groups (there currently two of them, which are responsible for studying the United States and Latin America). Its task is to ensure the guidelines of research projects and activities aimed at addressing new issues and examine the strategic perspectives of the international insertion of the area.
